With the introduction of the Seaboard RISE, ROLI continues to innovate while making their expressive technology available to an even broader range of consumers. Let’s talk about it here!

All i can say is that the Roli Rise (especially with Equator) is the most interesting controller i ever saw. The build quality is fantastic and absolutly worth the price.
Of course i wish it had 1-2 more octaves but i can live with the 2 and it´s great to use it via bluetooth while hanging on the sofa 😉
I was not sure about the silicon interface but it feels great too.
Not so important but also nice that this thing looks like it comes from some extratterestrial musicians.

I have just picked up my RISE and although i have had a few software issues and a faulty firmware (which will be replaced in the new Year) I am having a great deal of fun playing it. I have found Equator a fascinating synth even without the RISE control but with touch, glide, slide and press it becomes a very expressive synth. I paired the RiSE with my iPhone too yesterday and played the rise via bluetooth with the phone in my pocket… great technology.

HOWEVER… I’m finding it hard to find more instruments to play on the RISE. I have Sample Modeling sax, flutes and viola which work amazingly well and WIVI orchestra (band brass and winds) which play astonishingly well on the RISE but I am struggling to find some nice fretless basses, strings etc which play weill on the RISE… it is worth setting up a database of instruments/plugins that work well with the RISE?

    thanks
