Hi everyone!
I would be curious if folks wanted to share some of their hardware setup & experiences. I have a 2013 Macbook Air, and while Equator runs on it fine, I do get the occasional glitch/pop/scratch sound. And what’s entirely impossible is to run Equator from within Mainstage (curiously, the two work side by side better than if i call it as a plugin from the DAW). Roli support pointed out that my processor isn’t quite up to snuff (in fact, none of the MB Air are).
Now I am thinking about upgrading or buying a dedicated computer for my music programs, either a Macbook Pro, or a Mac Mini. I’d also consider getting an older model, provided someone can tell me how to translate the Roli specs —Intel Dual Core i5 2.5GHz+— to older machines (assuming I install El Capitan on it). Any help here would be appreciated.
danielParticipantI’ve had some lost bluetooth connections, too, though not at fixed intervals. Certainly not something i would use on stage…
Do keep us posted if any improvements/patches turn up.
danielParticipantWorked like a charm. I just uploaded one, too, just to try it out.
danielParticipantHi all,
this is Daniel from Vienna. Happy owner of a Seaboard Rise as of two weeks ago. I’m a long time hobbyist keyboard player. I run the Equator on a Macbook Air, but haven’t been using it outside of my home so far.I am your vanilla flavor rock/pop keyboardist, with some background in synth programming. Apart from the Rise I use a Nord Electro, and an old Yamaha rompler, as well as various midi conrollers with Mainstage. In the closet there’s a vintage Hohner Clavinet C1 and a Korg MS20. But after testing the Rise in a shop in Berlin, I just couldn’t resist; I guess if you’re on this forum you’ll know why…
I’m mostly interested in discussing technical stuff about the Seaboard and Equator, hardware setups, programming tips, problems etc etc.
