CinebientParticipant
Well, it worked after the third try…. but Equator doesn´t work now with the latest Logic Pro X like it should!
I updated Equator and Logic and they doesn´t play well together now. All my old projects or saved instruments which include Equator are marked with a red exclamation mark (???) and midi input doesn´t work anymore too via my macbook keyboard. Just loading a new instrument playing via the Rise works……. what the f…… why the hell must always break something :sCinebientParticipantWow, the announced the Rise with 49 keywaves…. i think i have to resell my 25 now and get this! Too bad i bought it just a few weeks ago. I wish i had waited a bit more!
CinebientParticipantIPad version released now too!
CinebientParticipantAnyone updated succesfull to the new version? I tryed it but it doesn´t work. The download was succesfull but the installation failed?!
CinebientParticipantWould be great!
I bought an iPhone 6S plus yesterday and the 3D touch works nearly as good as on an Seaboard Rise. In general playing ob the Rise is a better experience but movements of X, Y and Z axis works even better on an flat screen. It can’t replace the tactile feedback from the Rise but it works better than i thought.
This on an iPad Pro 2 next year would be awesome!CinebientParticipantThe dashboard makes my Rise nearly unusable for other tools without MPE since the latest update. Anyone else? I already contacted support but i would like to know if others have similar issues. Watever i set in the dashboard it always goes back to a strange deafult setting like channel 3 as global when in MPE mode or it always default to channel 2 in single mode whenever i open the dashboard again. Further more whatever i do i can´t use the Rise with non multi channel tools since there always silent midi notes, whatever i set the single channel to.
That´s a big bummer for me since it´s now my only midi masterkeyboard 🙁
I´m surprised that the iPhone version works much better than the hardware.CinebientParticipantAnyone knows if it´s possible to export a patch bank for Equator? As a hobby sound designer i would like to share a few patches in near future.
CinebientParticipantI use a Macbook Pro late 2013 with Yosemite and bluetooth works like a charm.
You can configure the Rise via the dashboard app. Not exactly sure what you mean with very disharmonic. Like it´s out of tune? Do you have this disharmonic sound also when you disable the glide?CinebientParticipantMMhhh, i can´t see an option to change the avatar.
CinebientParticipantMy first play with the Rise and Equator. I used 13 default patches and added a bus send with one Aether and one B2 reverb on top! Damn, i love this thing so much!!
CinebientParticipantAll i can say is that the Roli Rise (especially with Equator) is the most interesting controller i ever saw. The build quality is fantastic and absolutly worth the price.
Of course i wish it had 1-2 more octaves but i can live with the 2 and it´s great to use it via bluetooth while hanging on the sofa 😉
I was not sure about the silicon interface but it feels great too.
Not so important but also nice that this thing looks like it comes from some extratterestrial musicians.CinebientParticipantHey there,
I´m Cinebient and i love to making atmospheric music of any kind. Mainly, like my name says, Cinematic and Ambient stuff.
I started some years ago with just an iPhone 4 and some iOS apps (even made an album under another name with it). Then got an iPhone 5 and iPad Air later. All the iOS apps and midi control like polyphonic pitchbend and polyphonic aftertouch with synths like Animoog, Mitosynth and a lot other great tools made it such a fun and innovativ to use.
But then the limits of the software and hardware bothered me to much and i got a macbook pro and added some bigger tools……
I always was interested in controllers like the Seaboard but they were too expensive for an hobbyist (maybe now an experienced hobbyist).
Finally i ordered and got my Seaboard Rise yesterday and was not sure if it´s the right thing for me.
I was so wrong…. the Rise and the Equator synth are the most “musical” tools i ever touched and it´s such a joy to create sounds with them. Coming from a touch based music production and migrated to the desktop world after that i have now the best of booth worlds. Also the Seaboard Rise works with most of the iOS apps too.
I hope Roli has a really big future because from the hardware to software to everything they did now it´s just fantastic for the future of music.
I see it exact like everyone else here, the Rise is a new dimension and affordable for the hobbyist too.
I hope that many developers will include the MPE midi as standard too in near future!
